I’ve been very busy lately with lots of preparation for the shows have happened and for Canamade coming up. So, since I’m still running on the momentum from the last couple months, when I finally got to give myself a day off it didn’t really feel like I could relax.

Meet my new coffee table.  The fanciness of this coffee table is directly linked to how much work I get done on it.  Next, my desk.

See you all at Canamade – 151 West Cordova Street (the old Storeum) December 4th (4pm-9pm) 5th (11am-9pm) and 6th (12pm-5pm)

I just saw wallpaper sections like this at WalMart. They were 1/2 the price as the double roll I had to buy and they did not require special-order – but you only get a small amount of wallpaper, which may be enough for what you need. $35. But try not to shop at WalMart, ok?

Jade, is it possible to imprint one of your images on a coffee table and seal it in acrylic? I don’t have any idea what that would involve. Your wallpapered table just got my wheels turning. It looks amazing!

    Hi Josh!

You could get an image printed at a print shop onto clear vinyl and stick it onto a coffee table – I did this and stuck them to clear windows for a display at a show I had: http://blackdrop.ca/blog/?p=125. You may want to then cover it with a piece of glass to protect the vinyl from scratches, etc.

The images look best on a light coloured background like white or a light wood it might work.

I haven’t found a material yet that won’t cause bubbles when you stick it on… the windows have lots and lots of little bubbles that aren’t noticeable on the photo of the display but you can see up close. I’m going to try to figure that out and if you want I can let you know when I do!

I saw you placed an order today – thanks Josh! I’ll mail it this week!
